George explained the mechanics behind it, detailing, “The arm has a hole in it and pivots on a thin metal rod.” He further revealed that the static part is composed of two parallel boards, with the arm swinging between them, pivoting atop a sturdy nail. An old hinge attaches a paddle, forming the crucial component that launches the tennis balls into play.
