The Crust:

The best part is you don’t have to roll or chill the crust. It’s inspired by a graham cracker crust but uses flour instead. The result is a delicate, not-too-sweet base for our apples.

Best Apples:

We like Granny Smith, Honeycrisp, and Gala, but you can use any baking apple you like. Mix it up for more variety. Check our list for different apple types.

Baking the Tart:

Instead of making a sauce, we soaked the apple slices in brown sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, and vanilla. This makes them jammy in the oven.

Creating the Design:

It’s easy! Just stack slices together and place them over the crust. If that’s too hard, you can scatter them on top.

Storage Instructions:

To store the apple tart, cover it with plastic wrap or aluminum foil and refrigerate. It can be kept in the fridge for up to 3 days. For longer storage, you can freeze the tart. Wrap it tightly in plastic wrap and then in aluminum foil before placing it in the freezer. When ready to eat, thaw the tart in the refrigerator overnight.
